Welcome to the The Fibonaccis official home, a digital resurrection of The Fibonaccis’ music prompted by the 40th anniversary of the first Fibonaccis live performance in downtown Los Angeles at Al’s Bar on June 6, 1981. We hope to release all the existing material in 2021, including never-before-heard studio and live recordings. The music we recorded in 1986 for the film TerrorVision is available separately from WRWTFWW Records.

The Fibonaccis rose out of the early-'80s art punk scene in Los Angeles, drawing from a wide range of ideas and influences. We took our name from Leonardo Fibonacci, the 14th century Italian mathematician. The band retired in 1988 but exhumed itself briefly for a CD retrospective release party in 1992.
